Do you have (or removed) a scottoiler ? This connector looks like the connector used to push the piston to lubrificate the chain

Agree in the thread Speed 1050r Coolant Level In Expansion Tank.
Doesn't sound anything to worry about and more likely that you are trying to fill it too much trying to be on the safe side Sometimes...
