Best bulb I’ve found (and used) to date is the Ring Pro 5000K bulb from Halfords H4 & H7 versions available.

I've fitted Cenmol H4 LED bulbs to 4 different bikes. Makes a huge difference riding at night, so much safer, and no problems passing MIOT.

Halfords do an H7 bulb that is said to be 200% brighter, i fitted these to my old 800 and although they were a only slightly brighter...

Myself I would go for a led replacement. But whatever don't be tempted to go silly wattage as it tends to melt the lens.
