I must admit I'm beginning to have reservations about the cheap cable now. I don't really know why I did that either as It's not like me to skimp but time will tell whether I've got away with it or not.

Well the £9 cable worked a treat, no issues at all and the re-map literally took five minutes. It was so quick I re-connected about 3 times just to make sure the ECU was showing the correct map, which it was.

So the new exhaust is finally fitted now the total cost was...£180 New Triumph carbon oval silencer, £90 new Triumph "fitting kit" (AKA bracket and 2 bolts), £20 new Triumph exhaust clamp, £100 second hand (rocking horse poo) link pipe and £10 to have it professionally polished = £400! It has transformed the look, it is all genuine Triumph which is particularly what I wanted and it sounds awesome, if a bit too loud...

Yes, they are rare, it took me 10 months to find one. I did start another thread on it asking for expressions of interest in getting some copies made using my one as a pattern. I didn't get any response despite having a reasonable idea that there is a decent demand for the pipe. If 5 or so people make it known they want one I would be prepared to cost up copies of mine.

Other than that I found mine in the end just by searching Triumph exhaust and trawling through as a lot of stuff is not well described and can easily be missed from a more specific search. Once you've gone through one you can keep doing the same search and put the items in newest listing first to keep on top of new listings. Good luck!
