That position just puts back light on classed as parking/side light but nothing on front thanks for your input

So if that works OK then that proves most things are working and fuses etc are OK. Does your bike have a switch for the lights are do they come on automatically?

After another tinker had headlight open and yes there should be a little bulb in but it's blown, cant see what this parking light bit has to do with the main element of back light ??????

The parking light and the rear tail light are on the same circuit. If the stop lamp works and the tail light doesn't then replacement of the front parking lamp will be an aid in diagnosis. Am I correct that you said if you put the ignition key in position 3 the rear lamp lights up correctly. Sorry if I keep asking questions I'm just trying to get my head round it. Then I can hopefully offer meaningful suggestions.

It's a bit of a basket to say it was working in this position now not,if I put multimeter onto the snap connector block under seat I get continuity to all three wires and stop light works will find small child and put into front.
Confused as before all this the light was working on that element also rear parking light coming on ???? Bitch of a job

Sorry for stating the obvious but you have checked all the fuses, the blown front sidelight could have blown one?

Ok. You'll get sorted out in the end, it's just frustrating at times.

Only the parking small light and rear main element not working, think it's either the snap connection or back light bulb holder.

    Ok. Next questions.
Do you have a light switch?
    Does the speedo light up?

    There's more.....
With the ignition key in position 3 parking light is it possible to check for 12v at fuse 10 using the frame or an earth for a reference. If that makes sense? Sorry if I'm asking dumb questions but I don't know how competent you are with electrics and multi meters.

Looking at the drawing if the speedo lights up then fuse 8 and everything before that is ok. Leaving the following. Ignition switch pin 2 should have 12v coming from it going to fuse 10. Fuse 10 should have a yellow wire going to the back light socket pin 3 that changes to a red wire to the lamp.
    Keep me posted.

So looking like progress. Are the connections in the fuse box a bit dirty? Maybe a little wd might improve them?
Let me know if I can be of any more help.
