Photos are good but video with sound is better. Throttle control is a fine art and full throttle at the right time gets grip ( subject to ground pressure loading) and gives launch.
Big throttle at the wrong time just produces wheelspin and crashes due to lack of momentum or unexpected imbalance ( less forward progress than the rider).

Here's me messing about in the garden a few years ago @Martine . Obviously it was a video but not sure how you can upload here without a youtube channel etc.
Note the body lean to balance the bike, subtle throttle control and applying the back brake steadies the bike.

When I got my first TY250 in 1986 I used to have great fun in some local woodland, plenty of wet logs, gulleys and a couple of streams to hone your skills/send you flying! That was pre NERC act and the clampdown on such activities, when nobody was bothered, not even walkers in the woods and before the explosion in illegal, off road riding by knobheads on stolen motorcross bikes.

Plus the loss of vast tracts of NCB mining land, slagheaps etc.
Some land where I used to go in the 80's, is now a nature reserve so they're highly unlikely to accept someone ripping up the grass and poisoning the stream with oil ribbons : unamused:

This video (sorry if it appears not right) of the TY250 is from a long time before 1986 (it's 1973) and looks amazing. I definitely don't have the body control of the rider in this video and like @Eldon was showing in his pics! Maybe you @Pegscraper did (or do) on your TY250, but starting the offroad stuff when I was 52 (instead of 9 like my handsome husband) may have something to do with my less adventuresome approacho_O. And finding places to ride isn't what it used to be here either, so I'm told.
And sorry to all for having taken us off the "What you been doing with your TRIUMPH today??" topic! I'll stop now.

I did a tubeless conversion for my Tiger 800 XC today together with a friend.
I got an Outex-Kit for the bike and so far everything went great. Now I just have to wait wether the tires hold the pressure.
But the kit is nicely done.
We want to make a little tour over the weekend and I have to check for the pressures - keeping my fingers crossed that the conversion went well.

Fitted this after buying two that did not fit. One cheap Chinese one and the other from Touratech. Both were sold as fitting the Rally Pro but neither did. Luckily Touratech were happy to give my money back.
The SW Motech one fits lovely.

Several years ago, I was on my Victory TC waiting for a break in traffic to pull out onto the highway from a parking lot. I needed to cross the two eastbound lanes to get over into the westbound lanes. A small opening came up and I nailed it, hard. Just as I made it to the westbound lanes, I went for 2nd gear and the clutch cable snapped!
Traffic was coming up behind me fast and I needed to get off the highway ASAP, so I aimed to the right for the driveway of a bank and dove in, too fast. I missed an 18" curb in the driveway by inches and slid, sideways, perfectly, into a parking spot. As it was closing time, the bank employees were coming out, locking up and one lad says, "WOW! That was a perfect drift into that space!" I answered in a high, squeaky voice as I attempted to push my testicles back into their proper place. "It wasn't on purpose."

Just now I have been adding my API to my tunnel crossing at the beginning of August. A trip to the Alps (Chamonix) to visit my lad. Going with my brother. Having a day or two around Chamonix, which will involve sampling a few of his brewery’s beers at his bar. Then a few days down the France, Italy border towards the Mediterranean before making our way back home.

The sun was out today, so I popped the old tail-pack on and rode to the Sma' Glen in Perthshire (that's the Small Glen, if you hadn't guessed!). Here is a view of the road (A822) as it meets the River Almond, a couple of the bike, and a picture of the river looking towards the bridge.

The bridge was built by General Wade in 1730 as part of the network of roads built to quash Jacobite uprisings, supporting James Stuart (the Old Pretender) and Charles Edward Stuart (Bonnie Prince Charlie).... and the Scots and the English have been arguing ever since. ;)

Today, after giving the bike a good wash, I met up with a good old friend of mine who was on his new to him BMW RnineT Pure.

We had a ride around the Peak District and Derbyshire re-creating the Battle of Britain here’s a few from the day.

@Glenn2926, that "foot" looks good. Here's the one I've had on my 2019 Speed Triple RS since shortly after I bought it 5 1/2 years ago. R & G If I ever need a new one, I'll keep the SW Motec in mind thought I've been perfectly happy with my R & G other than it has to be tightened up now and again. I do think yours looks a bit tidier.

@Cragar67, glad you are liking those new Predators! I had a 2012 Thruxton so would love to see pics of your bike. I believe you need to turn your videos into YouTube videos to be able to post them here. I've always wanted to share some videos but am not up for the YouTube thing, myself. Enjoy those new pipes!
