An old friend if mine, who sadly passed away in 2017, had a couple of Nortons (don't ask me what they were), along with his early CB750 and his Fireblade. When we went on the annual TT visit I used to ask him "why don't you go on one of the Nortons?"........" because I want to get home again" was his answer! No idea what happened to them when he passed and really not that bothered.
In similar fashion, I was riding with an old buddy when a driver in a car made a bone-headed move in front of us. I was on my Victory, Dennis was on his venerable '72 Bonnie. I was able to stop in plenty of time, Dennis, braking hard, nearly collided with the car before being able to stop. I rolled up along side of him and bragged "300mm Brembo brakes." He pointed down at the Bonnie's wheels and said "401K brakes." "What the hell are 401K brakes?" I asked. He answered "You have to plan ahead."
When and where was that - its not stopped raining in Wigan hardly for two weeks and your profile @Iceman shows you’re based not far from me
