I see it as you are a perfectionist and restoration should be as it left the factory not just spruced up. Love all your projects.
    Joe.

The bike had a hardtail on it S R and i had a rear frame section but it was a early one, early 63-65 swingarms are a 1/4 inch narrower as they have gearbox speedo drives and so the shock mount on the frame is a 1/4 inch further in on the frame for alignment of the righthand shock and the oil tank mounts are different as well.

i did not know that about tbe swingarms. i just randomly mix and match swingarms, earl/late rear sections, and front sections, and then figure out the wheel spacing later.

    apparently ive just been lucky

I've always like those old school barrel grips, darkman. It's that "retro" thing....

The grips are a copy of the original Amal grips fitted in 66 on Triumphs, i managed to find some original NOS Amals for my TT but have not managed to find another set so pattern will have to do until an original set turn up lol.

The new Amal screws and cable adjusters arrived at last so i could finish off the little job of fitting together the NOS levers on the re chromed clutch and brake perches :)

After looking high and low i couldn't find the correct side cover for a TR6C with just the one ignition switch, so i dressed out the lower ignition switch pressing from an TR6R side cover and cut a new larger hole in the top pressing originally for the light switch so as the ignition switch will now fit, had the hole welded up in the lower part and its ready for paint :)

Sad to see I am not the only one who has to deal with other peoples mess they make of their motorcycle, I have no idea why some one would take a thing of beauty and start cutting it up. Keep up the good work.

If only my welding was so pretty. I'd leave it without grinding down to show how great I was :)

Looks like you get to lace up a new rim, fun. My project is at a standstill waiting for parts again.
