Hey Ade, I was once a short term bmw rider and definately not a typical one!! I did notice that the Bm riders forum FELT like it was invite only!! They remind me of ball room dancers and everything has to be just by the book!
In True Steve McQueen ( Triumph Rider I may add) Papillon Style , Im sure someone will throw me a Coconut with my mere cup of rice, I will start planing my Great Escape !!! Stiff upper lip and all that, What. We beat the Germans once us True Brits, We will show them Again the error of there ways. We shall be TRIUMPHant.
Ah, Glad your with the Brits Tigcraft, Glad you see the error of your ways the Jerries like order, Thats why its by the book.
Yes your right although I think these tall GS's are getting ready for a new breed of 8 foot tall people with blond hair and blue eyes in silky smooth leather!!
Going on Teds shemale lucky dip number, I would have thought their would have been a lot more micky taking oh , "MICKY" in Ireland means somthing else
Ade need I say more your spot on with your opinions. I am tempted to go to the big meet up but will I get stoned if I turn up on a BM. Am I correct in thinking its being held in Buxton. Good choice if it is because its pretty central for everyone and Horizons Unlimited use Derbyshire for a few years for their UK meeting which I went to a couple of times.
Head nod , big wave to me means "look I'm on my bike, I love my bike, I'm having fun! I love riding, Wave back if you are! Oh! ok then he's probably been sent out for milk!"
Oh no don't worry you won't get stoned, just get some oversized triumph stickers over the Bm badges and tell em all your pots have slipped!! Heh heh
HURRAH !!!!! Well done Ade, getting into the spirit of the meet already !!!!! Now what's the bike you've got? A Triumph Tiger 1200 Explorer? "Your pots have slipped" - I just lurved that !!!!!!!
I'm still working out the whole wave / nod / hand twitch thing... always did it in the 70's and I was pleasantly surprised to see it still goes on. Make and model seems irrelevant, even from the MBers. The youngsters seem to be unsure what it's all about, but we have to pass on the biker spirit to anyone on two wheels, don't we?
Agreed - I always nod at 125 learners and ped riders just to encourage them. I have found that individual HD riders will wave or nod but in a group they tend to ignore you.
