Took the missus out on the Bonneville to Crossgates for a late breakfast, then back along the Newtown Road. Turned right over the top to Kinighton and then Ludlow for coffee and home for a shower while the bike cools. Job done!

Today I went to Aberdeen to get the first service done on my street triple R, also got a rear seat cowl, red rear paddock stand bobbins, evo-tech radiator guard and bar end mirrors £400 lighter but it was a good ride through and back with only a short 5 minute downpour.

I did ask them to do it but I think the sales manager forgot to tell the workshop. They said it would be a 2 hour job and unfortunately didn't have time to do it today I will get it done as I'm never going to take a passenger

How could it possibly take two hours?!? Do they cut them off with a nail file?

When I collected the bike I mentioned it to the salesman that I would like them removed, he told me that it was easy enough just remove the battery. So I said that at it's 500 mile service I will just get them to remove for me. When I mentioned it to the service manager he told me that they had to remove part of the frame to remove the pegs and he needs to remind the sales team that it's about 2 hours labour. I don't know who to believe now :worried:

All the good weather yesterday and today and not had a chance to get out for a ride; family commitments got in the way.... Just my luck.

Thieving twats, it’s a 20 minute job, that’s all it took me with no instructions and dubious mechanical ability.
