    Yep.

I discovered that it’s permanently live after I bought a dual USB adaptor with a voltage readout.

I now have to unplug it so I don’t flatten the battery . It does fit the official Triumph aux socket though, which is smaller than the car cigarette lighter socket you’re familiar with.

There is a spare fuse under the seat. Does anyone know if this is switched?

Live 24/7.....checked this as fitted so I can use as an easy access battery charger port for the maintenance charger :)

I’m looking to add a another socket to power phone (satnav). Anyone got any advice on where to hide with access & be switchable?
Also any kits that people recommend?
    Cheers

I wanted to add a socket for the same purposes as yours but did not go the Triumph auxillary socket route as it was always live. I used an auxillary live connection from the Motone indicator harness which I had to add LED indicators, connected it to the USB socket off Amazon (see pic below), fixed it next to the air filter and ran the charger cable from under the tank all the way up to the handlebar. It is hardly visible to naked eye and best of all, comes on only when the bike is alive.

The USB socket has 2 slots, I use one for satnav and the other one to charge the helmet cam on longish journeys. Works fine.

This is the harness I used.

I already had it to connect LED indicators at the rear and all I did was connect the USB socket to the auxiliary line on the harness, and fix the socket. See pics below. Ask if you want more information.
