Yesterday, Sunday, I made with my wife a testride on her "new" new bike, the Yamaha XSR900. We rode through four Austrian provinces, passed the pre-Alps and went to a pass called "Klippitztörl" at the height of 1.642 m. It is situated in the province called Carinthia. The roads there are wonderful. One curve follows the other. It was a 420 km ride to test the long distance factor for my wife. She is glad. The bike reacts and moves very easily. No "bad" vibrations occur and the seat is also enough comfortable for her. Due to the chilling ride the fuel consumption went down to 4,6 l/100 km. The ride was a mixture between highway, country roads and small mountain roads with narrow bends. The temperatures were between 7-22 degrees celsius combined with some stormy wind.
    Conclusion:
With this bike she is expecting a real good time. Therefore we start a new trip on Wednesday this week to Banja Luka in Bosnia for a short visit
In the following some impressions of our ride.

Very happy that the change works well for your wife. You have done the right thing in replacing her BMW - even though it will have cost a lot of money to do so again so soon, there’s no point in keeping with something that isn’t right. Money has only one purpose, so you may as well use it (as long as you can afford it) to make life better.

@Boothman: You took my words! ;) I fully agree with your comment. It was necessary and possible too, therefore we did it.

@Tigcraft: It is still available and parked in our garage, waiting for a new owner.
