so my 2015 bonnie is tucked up with the optimiser on with a coating of FS365 on. Does anyone run the engine every now and then to keep everything free and lubed or is it better to just let it sit until spring?

Most engine wear takes place between start up and when it gets to full operating temperature so personally I'd leave it. As an alternative you could of course pick a decent day when the roads are dry with no salt on them and go for a ride

Riders are more vulnerable after a winter lay up-I see the air ambulance going over when we get dry spring days as the Power rangers come to grief so it makes sense to carry on riding if you can just to keep the riding cobwebs at bay

Makes sense on wear, I now have Deidre the Yamaha Diversion as my winter hack, not the worlds most exciting bike but a safe ride
