While doing my own 6000 mile service on my 2019 Street Triple R 765 I ran into a couple issues, which while were solved by me, definitely caused some existential pain.

So I go to change the oil using a new original Triumph filter thanks to a bit of research. Losing oil on a ride is not worth saving the 5 dollars the cheapest filter cost. I must have dropped the oil bolt washer into my oil pan because its gone. So I used a crush washer for my wife's subaru. Now it has a slow drip onto the floor. I did get the correct washers in yesterday so ill have to drain and fill again.

The worst thing was during reassembly I attached the main fuel line and while attaching the rest of the tank connectors the tank was not secured and slipped off the bike onto the floor snapping the main fuel line off at the edge of the hose. Ouch. I did learn that the fuel line from a 2016 street triple fits perfectly on a 2019 even though ebay says it doesn't. For 16 dollars shipped it was worth the shot, but at least my tank is still scratched and dented to remind me of the occasion so I'll always have that. Now I'm waiting for the dealer tool to show up on my doorstep so I can sync the throttle bodies and reset the maintenance wrench. Still worth not taking to the dealer since besides the fuel line incident I have been able to continue to ride the whole time.
