Which Ultrasonic Cleaner For Home (+ Garage......) Use??

    Seems my ploy of leaving pages open on the wonders of ultrasonic cleaners for jewellery etc has worked - Mrs B says it would be good to get one :)

    Anybody bought one fairly recently and have any recommendations? I realise there's a big step between a cleaner for a few trinkets and one you could drop a carb into. Thoughts very welcome.......

    Pay attention to the time cycle options i.e. will it only do 15 minutes, some will do permanent on others will only do a short duration. Also go for one with an integral heater.

    Ron your findings sounds more like it was a Magnesium alloy rather than a high purity Aluminium casting. This can be hard to determine visually but read up on testing alloys with malt vinegar to reduce or minimize any hassle in the future :p
