Right I need to establish exactly which Bonneville I have. It's 2003 Hinckley version 790 cc. The reason I ask is when I look for parts it's not really listed so are the T100 parts interchangeable with the Hinckley Bonneville? Don't really want the hustle of ordering parts and them being wrong through my fault! Oh what's the recommended spark plug for my bike they are looking a little tired and it's a little poor on low revs. Oh another thought anyone tried redex in the petrol?
I'll take that as a positive then. What ratio do you use? It says use half a bottle to a tank but that is a motor car of course.
From memory the correct plug is an NGK - NGK PLUG NUMBER: DPR8EA-9. (I looked that up - my memories not that good!). You should have no trouble finding the correct parts - look on World of Triumph under Bonneville & T100 carbs. The T100 is a Hinckley Bonneville.
The tank on my Trident holds about 25 litres. Car tanks seem to average about double that, as far as the dosage recommendations are concerned, so an initial dose would be half of that for a car, in my case. Thereafter I tend to guess a lot, but try to add it on a pro-rata basis as near as possible.
This leads me to a supplementary question. How far will the T100 travel ON AVERAGE, given a full tank of fuel? I know it depends on urban or motorway travelling but a ball park figure will be fine. Also what are the factory figures for the MPG for the Hinckley Bonneville?
Nice one guys. I think my arse and legs can stand longer than 100 but that's a good bench mark to work from Oh if your in the Melton Mowbray area and surrounding districts this Sunday and you see a group of RD's one of them will be me. [Blue 250 E]. It's the aircooled annual Rutland Ride-Out organised by yours truly.
On the ride to Epping forest last Sunday there were 6 of us and I watched a chap standing at the side of the road head rolling back and forth as each RD passed him. Priceless. Those Essex RD lads often venture down your way if I hear of them going to BSE i'll let you know.
Back to the candles then........ Wonder if they will go faster you'll have to check the wick to see if its burning lean
