    So have read that the OEM tyres are not much good, has anyone swapped the out and if so what for?

    Not a Thruxton, but on my T100 it came with Metzeler Lasertec somethings and I thought they were rubbish, so when tyre change time came around I swapped to Avon Roadriders(??) AM26 back and front. Since then I have done about 22,000kms, the back one is worn out so I ordered another, the front still looks in great order.

    They feel stable in all weather and road conditions and obviously wear well. My latest back tyre purchase cost 82 euros (internet purchase) and I'll fit it myself.
