    Hi All,
Just wondering about tyres for a trip to Northern Spain in July, I'm, going from Ayrshire to Yorkshire, Midlands, Cheltenham, Portsmouth, then ferry to Santander, then 2 hours west and staying there for 10 days, touring Northern Spain some days, and sampling the drink and food etc other days, then coming from Bilbao to Portsmouth, Winchester, Deal, Kings Lynn, Yorkshire, back to Ayrshire.

I'll have the missus on the back, 2 Leather panniers, rollbag. So I'll be putting 2 new tyres on before I go, should I stick with Metzeler, which came as standard with my 2014 Bonnie, or is there a better tyre for touring?
I've only had a full licence for just over 2 years, although I've done 13,000 on the Bonnie in that time, half with the wife on the back, but never toured on a bike before, but buzzing big time at the thought, looking forward to it... so any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
    Gracias!

Avon Roadriders are generally thought to be the best for the Bonnie. (I had them on mine)
People don't seem to have a high opinion of the Metzelers - I don't like them on the Trident and my mate doesn't rate them on his Explorer.

I would recommend Avon Roadrider AM 26 tyres for back and front - I had two sets on my T100 and they were excellent.

Lasted really long; great grip in wet or dry conditions; reasonable price.

Sound like you could stay with the metzelers as your familiar with them now. I realistically don't know myself the best v

All the Roadrider range are speed rated upto 149mph, so well within the capacity of the Bonnie.
Still not got my rear BT45 changed to the new AM26 yet, still handling o.k. so I'll get the last mm's off of it first, front AM 26 has done about 450mls and still has the moulding bobbles and centre line on it!

No mate, but not been used in any wet, not my choice as it's the pair that came on the bike.
As I don't plan on going out in the rain unless I get caught out it will stay that way!
I don't think the Battleaxe's are radial are, mixing radials and X ply is when you get problems, but I would prefer the pair of Avons over any other make.
