My Daytona 955i road bike needs some new rubber and looking at tyre options has me a tad confused

    What's everybody else running?

When I had my '02 Daytona 955i CE I ran an Avon Viper on the front with an Avon Storm ST on the back - can't remember if that combination was recommended by Avon themselves or by the mechanic who fettled both the Daytona and my Trident - but it worked very well. Good grip and wear with no sign of a chicken strip anywhere on the rear tyre:grinning:. Not too expensive either!:)

TBH you'd struggle to find a bad tyre now. Even the current sport touring tyres will run to the edge without issues. I've always been a Dunlop man but am currently on my second set of Michelin Pilot Powers because they grip well enough, last pretty well and are cheap.
