Following on from my previous thread, I have again ridden the T'Bird and really struggled with the riding position so I very reluctantly offer it for sale.
In January this year I had an accident at work resulting in a back injury, trapped nerve etc, which is still ongoing and I am really struggling to even move the bike around the garage. I have only ridden twice this year and last week managed a ride on the T'Bird which ended with me laid up for two days, not the bike's fault but riding position not agreeing with back situation!
The bike is as follows and currently has 15,028 Miles on the clock with Service History.

Truimph Thunderbird 1600 in metallic black, Reg'n date 02.03.2012, 2012 plate, two new tyres fitted at 14,038 miles, MOT until 10.12.2020. Service History.
    Extra's:
TORS Sport short exhausts with cross pipes etc
    Mustang Rider and Pillion seats
    Truimph Quick Detachable Screen
Wider 'T' handlebars with extended cables
    Front driving lights
    Chrome Radiator guard
    Chrome Clutch lifter
    Chrome oil Filler
    Chrome Rear brake cylinder cover
Quich release Truimph sissy bar with backrest
Chrome luggage rack (remove rear seat to make solo only)
    Chrome billet petrol cap
    Chrome lower drive belt guard
    12v Aux socket
    Chrome clutch/Alt casings
    Chrome speedo shade surround
    Leather(ish) tool roll
    Truimph tear drop chrome mirrors
    Chrome Engine Dresser Bars

There will no doubt be things that I have forgotten but I also have standard exhausts and a brand new set of belt guards which I was going to chrome but never got around to it. There are also some original parts not fitted to the bike which will be included.

The bike is in excellent condition and based in Wakefield. West Yorkshire

Price is £7250.00 ovno by Bank Transfer

Thanks, the bike is surprising light and easy to handle when on the move it is simply the feet forward position. I did visit a local dealer to have a sit on a T'Bird with rider floor boards but it didn't help.

Price reduction to £6950 before it gets laid up to see what next year brings.

    My sympathies, Adrian.
I discovered, a few years back, that the cruiser riding position causes me much pain straight up my spine if I ever hit a decent sized bump:scream:. Two crushed vertebra in my lower back being the root cause:(. Pity really as I've always had a secret liking for the T'bird.
Hope everything works out well for you.:)

That's a beautiful bike, Adrian and I, like others here have said, am very sorry about your accident and the resulting back and physical issues have brought you to the point of having to sell it. I do hope that you are able to sell it for a fair price and that your T-bird goes to a good home.

Thanks for the kind comments, it would be good to see it go to someone who will appreciate the bike as I don't like to see bikes as garage ornaments.

I've had two 1700 Storm versions in the past.

    Really lovely and comfortable bikes.

Great sound and loads of torque.

If only I hadn't just bought a Bonneville

    Hi Tom
The bike reluctantly is still for sale. I have been for an MRI test this morning and the Radiologist said that he would do a quick referral to a Consultant so not looking like I will ride it anytime soon on a regular basis. I had resigned myself to storing it until next year but I hate to see bikes becoming garage ornaments. I am based in Wakefield so not too far from you. I have to go over to Hornsea in the morning until Sunday evening but I can meet you one day next week if it suits. The bike really is excellent and has the rear rack should you wish to ride solo and remove the rear seat. I have had several guys on this Forum asking to buy various parts from the bike but at the moment I don't really want to start stripping the bike as that would require the engine being remapped etc if I put the standard exhausts back on.
    Regards
    Adrian

Well I've had the Thunderbird a few days now and got to say it is a great bike and does everything the reviews says, was not keen on the screen so I have removed that, have it as a single seat and may ditch the passing lamps and relocate turn signals to forks ,many thanks to Adrian for a good buy and advise given on the forum, save riding and cheers tom .
