Having signed up and eventually finding my way to the UK section ( which I dropped on by accident) I notice that's it's a dead as a do do, however dead that is. No or very little postings no humour in fact nothing to recommend it. I can't imagine anyone on this forum being signed up to it as this one has some life in it.

So are you are aren't you (signed up to it). Like I say I am but I can't see me posting much on there at all.

I'm signed up to the main site and learnt loads when I had my Bonny from the likes of Forchetto, Ecosse etc.

However since the Tiger was purchased they don't seem to have as much to offer. :(:(

I believe I signed up to take a look in, But swiftly left the wasteland in search
of new horizons, then I came across the triumph forum or the promised lands
and I've been on here ever since :cool::cool::cool:

Signed up but only use the main,USA site. Very useful for help on the carbed Sprints etc, generally well informed on the older Hinckley models. I go there most nights looking for info.

I'm a yank and I'm signed up there (having just recently signed up to both sites after my Scrambler purchase less than a week ago). But honestly, the adware they use on that site is so aggressive I just can't take it. I have a pretty new/up to date computer and a fast internet connection, but the g-damned pop-ups and adware just brings my computer to its knees. No such troubles here, although this site is blocked from my work computer (foreign sites are usually blocked).

Plus, I mean c'mon, these are British bikes. Just seems to make sense to come here, considering the topic at hand. On top of that, I'm really enjoying the British sense of humor found here too. Like right now over at the Lounge, there's a thread querying who's the oldest dude on the forum. Looks like poor sprocket won that dubious honor. But before that inquisition could be completed, all these dudes are going on and on about sending their shit samples in, or using steaming turds as an impromptu pocket warmer. I about pissed my pants reading some of those posts! :D I guess it's not just a stereotype, Brits really are eccentric and do have a quirky sense of humor. I'm starting to wonder if I have a British soul, because frankly it sits well with me and I'd like some of it to rub off on me. Might do me some good, too...maybe. ;)

..but yeah, I'm signed up & visit the main site (Twin Talk) as its helpful enough but as mentioned, the UK section is dire.

Like you say Triumpirate, the slow loading, ad loaded site does my head in.

I'd be honored. But if I started faking a British accent like Madonna did, I'd get punched in the face here at home. Although I recall a teenage buddy of mine who had long stringy hair. Looked British enough, as did I. He was pretty good at putting on a fake English accent (at least to our ears). We'd go to parties and he'd lay it on the girls and tell them he was in a band. You'd be surprised how well it worked. Not sure he ever got laid off it, though. :)

Hey pirate, look to dick van dyke as the guru of English accents, Mary poppins to be the classic. But you'd never be able to pull off being a Brit, your teeth are probably too straight!!

No, I'm afraid I have British teeth. And if my parents didn't force me to wear braces - twice - as a kid, I'd look like a bottle opener on LSD. But nowadays, they have these British actors in Hollywood that actually do a very convincing American accent. Some of them I never knew they were Brits until I saw an interview with them or read about it later. Damian Lewis is a good example. I guess they've refined verbal coaching to a science now. Plus the internet and global cable television are slowly merging all English dialects whether we realize it not. Although I don't ever see the Scottish being assimilated, they're too far gone. ;)
