Hi Everybody, At long last the bike is finished, MOT'D & Taxed. I took it out for a shakedown today and have come across a running / fuel issue. The bike will tick-over over fine but is reluctant to pull away below 3,000 rpm without slipping the clutch, i'm guessing its carb related, but not sure. Get to 4,000 rpm and she goes like a rocket. Anybody have any ideas.
    Thanks, Tony.

Try using Redex or similar fuel system cleaner in the petrol. I had similar problems with my Trident after a winter lay off. A good slug of Redex sorted it out in no time (about 5 miles). Carb jets get easily blocked with modern fuels.

Thanks for the replies guys. Tried some Redex, a bit better but it looks like i will have to sort out the idle jet/jets (after finding which carb is at fault). Anybody got a Mikuni tuning book for sale?

No just took it while I was cleaning one out.
Use the best fitting srew driver possible. Wreck one if necessary. If you ruin the slot you will wish you did. Or usually just poke some copper wire down the hole. You will not damage it. Ultrasonic wont clear it and neither will air pressure as the hole is too small. 95% of bad slow speed running on a t3 is down to pilot jets.
