Hi all, I have just replaced the tyres on my 2016 T120 for Continental Road Attack 3's. More on that later.
Come to refit the wheels and I find that the owners handbook only lists a figure for the rear wheel spindle. I have just ordered a Heynes manual but in the meantime, has anyone got the figures for the front spindle, front brake caliper and front spindle pinch bolt please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dave

Thanks Andy, I asked the dealer that I bought the bike from and the tyre fitter, both said they don't use torque wrenches to tighten wheels!!!

I bought my bike in July 16, passed my test in September and started to ride regularly in February 17. It is my first bike so I had nothing to compare it with until my son bought his Street Triple, what a revelation that was.
So nimble and agile, easy to corner quickly, all the stuff more experienced riders take for granted. Anyway, I had been saying that my bike was a bit skittish in the cold and a bit scary in the wet as it had a tendency to slip in damp conditions even occasionally in a straight line!
So I had clocked up 8000 miles by this time and my tyres still looked hardly worn, especially the rear which still had about 4mm of tread although a bit flat across the top. That's when I started to think 'maybe the tyres are not helping'
So I visited Bromley Tyres in Warrington on a recommendation, Dave, who is one of the staff there (he rides himself) spent half an hour with me talking about my experience on the Phantoms and what I was looking for from new tyres, and then going through spec sheets for different tyres.
He eventually came up with either the Continental Road Attack 3's or Metzeler Road Tec 01's and said that either would suit, I chose the Continentals for the tread pattern which I think suit's the bike more.

I have been out on the Continentals now and right from the start I could feel the difference. It was cold and they were new so I took it carefully. My first impression was how compliant they felt, they seem to bed into the tarmac where the Phantoms used to feel like they were skipping over it.
After about 40 miles of commute style riding (only in dry conditions so far) I can say they provide a vast improvement in ride quality and dry grip is soooo much better.

More when I have been out in the wet (that could be a long time)

Lastly, a big thank you to Dave at Bromley Tyres who has a very good knowledge of motorcycle tyres and is happy to help with advice if needed. I would recommend a visit if you are local to Warrington next time you need tyres.

    Cheers,

    Dave.
