Tor differences

    I'm looking at tor exhausts for a 2011 america and most of what is available seems to be for the pre 2011 model. As far as I can tell the difference seems to be the stand position and hence the stop. If I make or modify the stand stop can I fit pre 2011 pipes to a 2011 bike? Has anyone already done this?

    Right then pipes fitted perfectly except for i had to fabricate a stop for the side stand, not a big problem. So short tors brand new in the box for £175, the 2011 onward ones are £385 I think, the only difference is the side stand stop. £210 to make a side stand stop well worth half an hours fiddling:D

    Short TOR's give great access to the rear axle spindle, so chain adjustment is a breeze and they sound fantastic (and there is less zorst to clean and polish!)

    Hi just ordered a set of the £175 short tors, should be here by wed this week, my bike is a 62 America, are there any tips you could advise me on regarding side stand bracket please. Thanks in advance.

    I just made a type of "p" clip on the frame with a rubber stop on it for the stand to stop on. Basic and simple but seems to work and can't be seen from above.

    Cheers Andy just fitted the pipes will make bracket tomorrow. Good piece of kit for the money, thanks for posting.
