I love my new 850 Sport and having a blast with this engine. It's my first ADV and I'm really glad to have made a switch from a cruiser.

My sole complaint is that I find myself leaning forward onto the handlebars (that is, putting my weight on the grips) more than I'd like. I've been told that it's not unusual when you're on the taller side (6' even), and that some bar risers will allow me to be in a more comfortable upright position.

First: does anyone know the diameter of these 850/900 OEM handlebars? I can't seem to find it listed anywhere; Triumph only lists the handlebar span/width but not the diameter.

Second, any suggestions for decent bar risers that are easy to install and don't require messing with the cables and controls? And has anyone had the same ergonomic issue that you solved with risers?

I’ve fitted risers and they do make a great difference depending on your build.
Easy to fit, no cable pulling issues, and you get two adjustment possibilitiesThe risers can swivel in the original handlebar lower mounts, and the bars can swivel in the new riser mount. Easy to get exactly the right position.
Look them up on Google or whatever your choice of browser is, there are hundreds listed!
