Hi I have just joined the Triumph forum. I have recently sold by Trident and am now looking at buying a Tiger 800xrx. I have been looking around for a while and have come across one that has had a professional decat done with a werx exhaust system. I have spoken to Carol Nash and they have informed me that this would put the insurance up by about £50. Would it be worth changing the exhaust system back to the standard pipes which are available also would the engine require re-mapping? Regard M.Baker
M Baker. Welcome to the Family. Keep the pipes on and haggle with Carole Nash. Get a few other quotes its worth it. Then play one insurance against the others. Just remember they need you more than you need them. A picture when you get the beastie. Regards Joe.
Why spoil what to you is a nice package? If not why did you buy it? Keep as is and either bite the bullet or negotiate
Hi and welcome to the forum. Leave the exhaust as is and try other insurers as others have said or pay the £50 if that fails. Would be cheaper as littleade said.
Jesus man! 14p a day, if you begrudge that for fun and thrills take up knitting. Actually don’t it’ll be more expensive!

Welcome to the madhouse you should fit right in. To keep the inmates happy we will need photos when you get you're new bike. Tucker
Welcome aboard. Have you got other quotes from e.g. Hastings Direct and Bennetts? Carol Nash is usually one of the more expensive insurers. Try MoneySavingSupermarket or one of the other comparison sites before committing to Carol Nash.
