Hi, i'm new to the group, recently purchased a 2009 Tiger 1050, still getting used to it at the moment, it appears that at 5'10" i'm vertically challenged! Have already installed a rear suspension lowering link but next option is to drop the front forks, here's hoping it works as my confidence is a little shaky when stationary and slow moving at the moment. Love the bike when i'm moving tho, bit of a step up from my 650 V Strom.
Adaztec Welcome to the Family. You know we will want a picture of the Steed. Then we will get Nursey to pick you up and bring you back here with the lunatics. She will be around any minute with the meds and pictures helps calm us whilst she administers them. Ride Safe Joe.
Hi, welcome along! I'm new around these parts and new to triumph ownership as well! I recently went from a cbr 600f to a 2008 tiger 1050. I'm not much taller than you at just under 6 foot and while the tiger did take some getting used to, I didn't feel the need to adjust the height...Is it getting on/off you are havinig trouble with or just slow manouvres? I'm having to use the clutch way more at low speeds than on previous bikes but after a few weeks I'm far more comfortable. The other thing that helped me massively was sorting out the low speed throttle snatch which made the bike difficult to predict on wet roundabouts. I updated the map on the bike with TuneECU and it is a massive improvement - I would definitely suggest it!
problem solved, I already fitted rear lowering kit but was still an issue, yesterday lowered the front forks 20mm and moved the handle bars back a couple of inches, went for a ride yesterday and couldn't be happier. What a gem!!!!
