Hi, the rear shock absorber on my 01 Thunderbird 900 triple has failed. Is it possible to repair? There's a video on YouTube showing how to dismantle a shock. Does anyone know where it's possible to buy the seals, are any special tools needed, and is it straightforward? Thanks

    Get a YSS replacement shock.
Much better quality Than Hagon for similar cost

Mine has just gone as well , got one off E bay. They are expensive enough. Mine was not looking good anyway so just replaced it with a very good second hand one for £150.
Looking at the shock,it looks like they do come apart but if you can get the seal I'm not sure. If you have the money upgrade. If not your looking to fix on the cheap. Then breakers is your best bet or EBay.

Not just mine. But yes, it is my opinion. And I have played with both to form that opinion
To be honest I run a maxton on my trident and ohlins on my speed. But not everyone wants to pay that much.

Just to update you. The one I took off you can do nothing with. The one I brought you can . So the only way to know is to take it off and look.
