Quick review on my Triumph brand Thruxton R leather tank bag. The quality is top notch with "stiff" foam sides to hold its shape. Comes with a carry handle, carry strap, two quick detach mounting clips for the rear of the bag, a removable clear map pocket and an integral internal "X" shaped stretchy hold down strap, no rain cover included. Fitment is perfect with a cutout to fit over gas cap, removal for fueling is quick and simple. It does require the optional center tank strap for the front mounting although I believe something could be homemade without too much difficulty. The front mounting tab doesn't look very sturdy, time will speak to its longevity. Inside it is just one large cavity, no sub-pockets. Capacity is good. There were no included mounting instructions and it took me a bit of head scratching to realize I had to remove the tank rear hold-down bolt and lift the back of the tank and use those brackets but it mounts well and the back straps are adjustable for tension. The only caveat and I believe it to be significant; it is tall in the back for better capacity but for riders with a lesser reach than myself (6'2") you will be fighting it for space for the tum-tum. My bike does have the factory half-fairing and it presented no problems. There it is, maybe not so quick but, er, um.....thorough.
