Since my very first test ride on a demo bike I have found the ABS too sensitive, backing off the front brake over bumps.....when I'd really like to be stopping :-0

First noticed it on the demo ride at a bump just before turning into a street near our house. My bike regularly lets the brakes off over that bump and also others around and about......when I am not expecting it!!!!

I have owned a few bikes with ABS, madam has had a couple of beemers with it, I have blagged a few demos and none have 'let off' over that bump close to the house.

Anyone else feel that the ABS is a little over sensitive?

    no
I suspect no ones had the privilege of riding one!
I had a test ride on a 1200 thruxton r in June but didn't notice any issues with the ABS.
The brembo ABS on my speed triple r feels a bit like brake fade when I really squeeze it on.
Quite annoying. I can switch the ABS off and for sure there extra braking in there on dry roads.
I suppose the ABS is preventing me lift the back wheel?

I read similar somewhere, yours is not the only one, check out the triumphrat.net forum, I'm sure if it happens there'll be something about it on there.

Never had a problem with the front, rear cuts in a bit early for me but otherwise good. Done a few miles on them and they all seem the same to me?
TBH I find the front brakes on the R just lovely and progressive... Squeeze harder and it stops quicker.

Never had a problem with the back......though I ride Buells too and have got used to riding predominantly on the front brake as the rears are generally rubbish!
