Sure I read somewhere (or maybe I dreamt it) that there was a middle section of the factory FEK that needed removing or adapting as it looked hideously over long out of the box. Can anyone confirm/clarify?

Got one coming to try on the Thruxton R and wanted to check before the install.

Yep, now I have the kit it makes perfect sense (much more sense than removing a perfectly good mudguard when the weather is pants!).

Just waiting for my 7x5 No plate to arrive so I know where to set it on the sliding carrier & I can plug it in.

    Q. Does the battery really need to be disconnected to fit this?

Quality kit, the only slight negative is the reflector (or the metal face it goes onto). Maybe Ill look at cutting that off.

The 7x5 plate arrived this morning but I decided against it. Just too small methinks. Gonna throw another £12 at an 8x7 to keep the boys in blue smiling.

I'll need the little number plate light underneath though?? That can't really be mounted anywhere else.
