    Hi Bonzo
My C spanners were in my triumph folder with all the paperwork and owners manual. Be careful as I wanted to adjust preload as iam mainley two up and I could not get the two locking nuts un done, and marked the slot where the C spanner goes into shock, by the way C spanners are crap. Anyway I thought stuff this iam not damageing the bike any more so I took it to my dealers and asked them to loosen off the nuts and then I thought I would be able to do it from there. Wrong all they had was my C spanners and they could not do it either. The tec noticed in the top of the shock sits a cir clip type ring, he thinks that should have to come out before you are able to undo the lock nuts. They were going back to Triumph to get some answers and then to Ohlins direct, that was 3 weeks ago and still nothing, Iam going up there this afternoon to try and find out what is going on.
If I find out anything I will post it.

    Thanks for that Pottsy,

T'will be interesting to know how that pans out.

To be fair, I'm not desperate to guff about with my suspenders as I'm pretty happy with the ride, but I sorta want the tools that should come with the bike.

    Cheers dude

Thanks for the info , Pottsy. I juggled the C spanners but it wasn't much fun. One of the damping adjusters had 'clicks' that weren't very conclusive too.
On page 99 it says to screw the preload one way, on the next page it says the opposite but I just guesstimated that it's the same as all the others .
I didn't find a flat-head driver for the forks in the 'toolkit', anybody ?

Dave was who was having a day off yesterday, if you are around over a weekend, I will meet you up there for a coffee if you like. Oh so the tool kit is not exactly snap on then, I did see it behind the panel, obviously did not leave much of an impression.

For one thing , I was down that way--I bought my other bike (w800) Plympton, and i'm not keen on Bridge even tho I've had about 6 bikes off them in the past .I think they're all about 'sales' and figures , like Currys etc. They get through some staff these days. I don't know anybody who really likes Bridge .

Yes I feel the same, I brought my last bike there from Dan who is now at Triumph and iam still in touch with him. But for serviceing etc I clocked up 600 miles just going back and forth to Bridge. And they offer crap traidins. One guy on a trophy got £ 700 more from Plymouth than he got 45mins earlier at Bridge. Thats a lot of dosh.
We used to like Emily on clothing but she gone as well.

Just so you know if you are not already aware, the R shocks can not be adjusted with the C Spanners alone, you need a spring compressor then remove little collet then you can use the spanners to adjust. Apparently the section on the adjustment in the owners manual will be re written and possible fitting an adjustable version of the Ohlins, hopefully getting mine adjusted at dealership end of next week.

I just left mine as it was set at factory as that matched what they stated in manual, but I was a bit confused as it was the same as two up, but it seems to handle fine, but might not be an issue unless on a track day which I don't do.
