Eyup chaps, I have a little too much free play in my twist grip, on my 2011 speed triple. Do I really have to take the battery, tank and airbox off to get to the adjuster?

No, trace the cables down beside the instrument cluster and there is an adjuster on the pull cable covered by a small rubber sleeve. Slide the sleeve to reveal the adjuster and undo the small lock nut, think it’s 10mm The adjuster itself is the long part, think it’s 8mm but it only needs the spanner to hold it while you undo the 10mm. Adjust so you have 3mm free play at the twistgrip then nip up the lock nut but be very careful as it’s easy to strip the thread. Check the free play on full lock to both sides, it may well be slightly different due to where the cables go but it’s not a big issue.
