Tiger 800 Taking Of Front Sprocket Cap

    Needs to be don in near future because of leaking grease on the floor.
    On my Transalp it was a easy job ,on the Tiger looks different....
    What is the regular way? First loosen this bolt (see red dot in picture) so that i can slide away the long bar attached to it and then loosen these 2 bolts (see yellow dots ,lowest bolt not visible) so the cap is free to be taken of?

    Is there a technical handworkbook available on the Tiger 800 XCx?

    That's what I did and filed a groove to line up the groove in the split of the gear selector , hope this makes sense after a bit of wine

    Yup as he says mark the spline on gear selector for easy relocation

    Is there not a punch mark on the gear selector shaft that lines up with the slot in the clamp.

    There was on my 2013 Tiger800
