Hi All After many years of Riding Jap bikes I had some kind of breakdown and decided to get a dyke pump.. (Harley) I went to a local bike dealer walked in but noticed in the corner looking majestic.. a Thurderbird 900..I was like I was hit with a bolt of lightening ...the Harley was dropped like an ugly girl at the disco... The Tbird is being picked up next week to say I am excited is somewhat of an understatement I only live in a humble abode so looks like she will have the be in the conservatory for the winter I live In Norwich so any fellow Riders meeting up I'm good to go.. Triumph 900 Thunderbird (conservatory) Bsa C15 1959 tracker (warm shed) Honda Transalp (now outside under bike cover) I need more space .... Jamie
Hello Jamie and a warm welcome to you. I loved the description of your first encounter with your new toy "the Harley was dropped like an ugly girl at the disco" - fantastic and yet so true !!!! Welcome in mate, welcome in. Oh and congrats on an excellent choice. Dave PS The conservatory - a great place for polishing a motorcycle, all through winter.
welcome in Jamie, I would have gone home with the Harley, I only ever got what was left behind at the disco!
Welcome in here. Sorry, I misread your post originally, thought it was one of the newer type t/birds. Great to see another carburated 900 in here, love them all and think for looks, the thunderbird is,apart from the speedie, the best in that department. have to say i would have bought one myself but they are a bit too expensive for me so I have my Sprint, which I love anyway and wouldn't change. Hope she ticks all the boxes for you and well done for not getting a hog.
The 900 TBird Sport was high on my list for 2nd bike... until I rode a Tiger 800. Still have yet to ride the TBS, so could change my mind yet!
