This is the scene at a fatal rta, pull up the picture if need be, is that what I think it is in front of the car? I have contacted the paper and they deny its a dead body, looks early into the event with no ambulance yet, if it was later you'd expect the investigation personnel and a sheet over the person? Even on lookers! It happened early morning as he crossed the road to get a paper, so you would expect few people if any around until they realize whats happened. Looks like damage to the car but looks as if the number plate is still on it so I dont think thats the bumper on the road. If it is the poor chap this is a new low for journalism, even by the standards for local journalism. I feel sorry for any family & friends of the deceased that see this!
I'm not sure why the picture has been posted. What is the point being made here? That the paper shouldn't have published the picture? (but OK for you to post it on the internet) ??
I think HO's point is the journalist or more so his editor should not have published this picture in the first place !! Yes he has re-shown it but its out there now anyways !! If this was say an elderly member of my family killed crossing the road while going for a morning paper I would not want everybody to see his or her body lying in the road like that. I do get HO's point, - But also see yours to Scoot, blame has to stay with the initial person that agreed to make it public though.
