Actually I think your more like 30 years younger Andy :(

There’s still life in the old dog yet so you never know and thanks for the offer.

I have been thinking about splashing some cash on a nice Brit classic but it would have to be in standard trim to help me get my leg over in comfort.

A good friend of mine had a 64 Triton with a Mick Hemmings 650 engine and he was kind enough to let me have a ride of it. It was ok for a blat down the runway at Pistons and Props (as above) and a ride from Market Harborough to Bruntingthorpe but I would want to go much further than that.
Wish it was in my garage now mind.

The old cliche remains true - it's worth what somebody is willing to pay for it! I reckon the only way you'll find out if you're in the right ballpark is to ask for offers "in the region of" but that usually implies "in the region of, but lower than". Of course, you're not obliged to accept anything that's not 'regionally' close enough to want you want out of the sale.

It's not currently the best time to be selling a high value motorcycle - the time of year and the pandemic are both working against you, as is perhaps, geography and your location. I suppose "I'm just going to view a potential Triton purchase, officer" is, probably not the most acceptable of reasons to be travelling during national lockdown regulations, however vital the ownership of a nice motorcycle might be to one's personal health and wellbeing.

Hope you get what you want from it as someone will be getting what looks like a very nice, well sorted and very well presented piece of engineering art!

I don’t think you are too far off. The Triton in the pic I posted at post 11 was sold by my friend 2 years ago. He wanted £12k for it but settled on £11k. It was mint, not a hint of an oil leak and ran really well. Yours looks to be in a similar condition so ought to fetch similar money.
