T120 Seat Shortening Question

New guy here... I intro'ed myself about a month ago.

I've possibly stumbled upon good deals on a 2017 T120 which prompts this question:

Can the seat be shortened to expose more of the rear fender? I've seen shorter seats with a rear platform which held a rack, but I'm looking for just a shorter seat which exposes more of the rear fender. Or, is it the case that the rear portion of the seat sets above the battery or airbox which indents the upper front of the rear fender?

TIA for any responses. I've searched but not found an answer on the forum (doesn't mean it isn't there) and with this damn CV19 imprisonment I cant go to the dealer and look myself!

 

T120 owners...Can anyone post a pic or two of the front upper surface of the rear fender with the seat removed?
