Just had my STR 2016 set up by KAIS in Atherton. I am now waiting for the rain to disappear from NW England so I can give some feedback. Their comments were that it felt pretty much OK on the rear but quite stiff and wooden at the front. Adjustments made, awaiting some dry roads!

    Watch this space.

I had mine done last weekend at SSR in Telford, made a massive difference to the way it handles and the braking.

I'm looking to get my speed set up asap. Did you do the ride in-out service

I did the ride and set up, cost £50 and we were there for about 4 hours with the setting up, riding and a brew stop. It was well worth it, Mark knows his stuff and it transformed the way the bike handles. He does the ride in ride out for £35.

Sounds about the same as my Speed Triple S.
The std settings felt fairly stiff, so I changed both ends to the 'soft' setting.
The front feels good now, but the rear is slightly too soft, so I'll put the rear back to std setting.

Professional set up of the sag is crucial if you like to ride at speed. Particular attention should be paid if you are a 225 lb. rider like me. I spent the money on KTECH kit up front and a Maxton on the back. Transformed it and it is rideable all day long as it both handles superbly and deals with harsh roads.

Mark80, may have missed the information in a prior post so please forgive me. It will be most helpful if we know your rider weight with all your kit. That way a member of similar weight can share what settings are working on their bike. Example - I am a big boy at 225 lbs. and needed custom bits fore and aft. Good luck, this is a fantastic bike and very capable once set up correctly.

    Cheers,

    Chris

I got my Speed set up at SSR yesterday. Really transformed the ride & feel through the twistys.
I had got it fairly close but was running too much comp & rebound damping which made it feel choppy.
Well pleased with the ride now and would highly recommend Mark at SSR Suspension.

@ Yogi, it is uncomfortable as hell when the front shims are stacking on those quick choppy bumps. Glad you got it sorted.
