Hi to all, Just joined and would like to say hello. Own a 2014 Street Triple and 61+ years old been riding bikes since 13 years old. I follow my late father who was still riding his 1936 Aerial red hunter at 86. Regards Phil
excellent! both you and your dad. welcome in and lets hope there's many more years of riding in all of us
Just trying to spread a little happiness, don'tcha know!! I almost made it to 62 without realising I could get free prescriptions after 60!! So I became ill, and got myself a bus pass as well! The Yorkshireman within me was so proud!! Sadly, the drugs they prescribed me have stopped me working ever since. Ah well, 3 weeks to me state pension!! (See ... you are a yoof!!)
It's in the blood pjl, I hope you kept the hunter...... would have loved to have met your old man. just goes to show, your never to old.
Hi Wayne, Yes we still have the Aerial and it came out for a run for my sisters son's wedding who rode it to the church, very touching. Dad was special who brought the bike when he was 17 and kept it till his death at 86. It was the only transport we had and with a sidecar we had a lot of enjoyable holidays in it. Regards Phil
What a great story, and how nice to bring the family treasure to the wedding. Must have been a real tear in the eye job coming out of the church and seeing your dads bike parked up. A very proud moment for you and what a great gesture from your sisters son.
