My Bonnies tickover is faster when first started,13 to 1400rpm cold then settles down to 1000rpm as it warms up,that's normal for the Bonnie you've got a different engine so yours is probably normal too.BTY putting your postcode on your profile is a bad idea, click on it to find out why.

Hi its as new will it need to be done ? do you just lube the outside of it ? or do you need to strip it to get inside of the idle ? ray

Your issue sounds to me like it's the idle control, now I don't know the bike inside out so can't say if it's the idle "control unit" or whatever but from what you describe I would think that is what is the problem. Having fuel injection the ecu automatically richens the mixture, raising the idle speed when the bike is started from cold, like using the choke on a bike with carbs. What made you obtain a new set of throttle bodies and what did the person do when he "set it all up". Was it set up with diagnostic equipment with access to check things like sensors? You don't mention the revs you were using but refer to speeds so I'd presume that when you got to the higher speeds where the bike was running better you were using more revs, i.e. far from the idle, so again that points away from the throttle bodies being the problem but towards the idle control.
I'd say you need to have the bike checked by somebody with at least tuneecu (and knows what they're doing with it).
