    Hello All,

    Hey Everyone,
I keep my Bonnie under a Dowco Guardian bike cover every night. In order to get the cover to fit completely over the bike I have to fold in the rear view mirrors. This has caused the right hand side mirror to come loose constantly.

I tighten both sides with the allen wrench but after about 2 days of being moved in an out the right hand side mirror goes free and I have to break out the wrench again.

    Questions:
Is this going to strip my bolt that holds the mirror tight after repeated tightening?

Anyone have a good solution/experience same thing?

I can take some pictures when I get home if need be. Thanks yall!

The stock mirrors are not designed to be moved daily, this will definitely wear and stretch the threads leading ultimately to loose fittings that will not tighten.
Option 1) change the stock mirrors for some good quality spring loaded ones that are designed to be regularly moved. (Bar end mirrors may be better)
Option 2) Purchase a cover that will fit over the stock mirrors.
I have a JDC Large cover which fits perfect over my Bonneville with stock mirrors and rear rack.
