Anyone fitted a stem nut time clock to their Thruxton? Looking for a suitable solution and find that there are a wide range on offer on the web at vastly different prices.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Cheers

Have one on the Bonnie - looks good and is very useful as I sometimes use the bike for work appointments.

"Work appointments"? Are they a bit like riding the country roads with yer mates rendez-vous?

Not quite - I'm lucky enough to run my own architectural practice (with a staff of one - me) so I do use the bike when meeting clients or visiting sites, many of which are down country roads.

Cheap watch from the local market, take off the straps, velcro it onto the top yoke. Much cheapness and simplicity! :)

Just don't do what I did and leave it on the bike when parked. Some thieving Froggie nicked mine:(, but as it cost less than a fiver I wasn't too bothered!!:p

After weighing up the pros and cons eventually went with one from ebay. Link here:

When fitting the housing it was a little tight on the corners of the stem nut so after marking the contact points I eased the clearance slightly by filing a small groove at each position. Fits snugly now and the concealed grub screw completes the security. The clock face pushes in with a rubber gasket so you can accurately align the final position after the housing is in place.

You need to specify the clock colour you require when ordering and they also supply thermometers if needed.

    Couple of pics attached.
