Standard or T100

    Is it worth paying more for a T100? both have same engine, it just an additional Tacho which is not really needed?
    or am i wrong?
    Need helping choosing!

    Hi

    Go to a dealers

    Stand and look at a Bonnie, a T100 black, and a T100 with the twin paint job, bright casings etc

    Then look at the wheels each have

    You will then go on to buy a T100

    For me its a case of the wheels maketh the bike, wires look so much better than the cast alloys on a classic style bike.

    Also the standard seats are different on each bike with T100 seats being more comfortable, for me at least.

    One thing for certain you are choosing the right make and bike

    Hi thanks ColLamb, its strange picking the right style but I like the 70s cast alloy wheels (ease of cleaning) plus with the lighter & smaller wheel supposed to be sharper
    steering!
    Will go & try them both out, only answer

    Personal choice - but for me it had to be the T100. I have to agree with ColLamb, wires look much better than cast alloys, especially if you want the genuine retro look. If you get the dirt off them to begin with and wipe the them clean regularly they are not too bad to look after.
    Also love the two tone colour scheme (Goodwood Green and Aztec Gold on mine). Again, personal taste, but I would feel a bit lost without a rev counter and I also like the symmetry of the two dials rather than the slightly offset single speedo (why not centre it?)
    Either way though you'll get a great bike.

    I find rev counter useful to keep max mpg when touring, and out of red zone when not..ahem..:wink: Would have preferred spokes but alloys come with SE

    Standard for me, gives you more scope to personalize it to your own taste.

    Hi again

    If memory serves me correctly the cast and wire wheels are different sizes, so not sure if that affects the steering geometry.

    A small but to me useful difference is the mudguards, the T100's have bigger ones thus they stop a lot of crud being thrown up.

    If you want ease of cleaning go for the T100 Black edition, its mid way priced

    Protect everything with ACF50 when you get it home or get the dealer to do it for you before you pick it up, just make sure they use ACF and not an inferior product. The bike is then well protected and the dirt falls off very easily

    Thanks! ACF50 is a wonder stuff & worth the expense, used it on many bikes & my Tiger 1050, on the bonnie I think its down to
    which one grabs me when I see it regardless of model!
