Sprint Stand And Bike Height.

Yes can depend on a few things like tyre profiles, suspension settings which stand is fitted etc

 

My Trident went through a phase of keeping both wheels on the ground while sitting on its centre stand. It happened when on holiday up Fort William way the first summer that I had it (1996) and the stand was replaced under warranty when we got home. The mechanic at the dealer reckoned it was a combination of the luggage weight and me pushing it off the stand whilst sitting astride it. I never have been a lightweight!!!!

Generally Lowering is done by inverting the pivot for the rear axle ( turning the axle to the top ) or fitting a shorter rear shock and dropping the forks through the yokes to keep the bike level.
