Squeaky rear

"Squeaky Rear" - so many possible answers, none of which will be useful or sensible - sorry

 

My T-bird was squalling as well. Tore it apart yesterday and found there is a needle bearing in the rear pulley that went bad. 16500 thousand miles on the clock. Might wanna check that out.

My 2012 TT Storm suffered from this in its last year of warranty after a rear tyre change. Triumph replaced the inner of the wheel returned to make the same squeal, Triumph then replaced the belt after some words with the Head Office "disgraceful ambarrassment to Triumph" were used. This cured the problem for a year until today when it has suddenly started chirping. Harley Dealers have a spray their mechanics use on thier models but need to order as it is shipped in from the States. Has anyone out there tried it?
Hopefully it's not a major problem as have been told by Triumph to use a belt spray that they do not supply!!!!!

 

I believe it is a design flaw. There is a cush pack in there and that is uneeded on a belt drive. It allows the pulley to cock just enough that the belt runs to the outside. Figure out how to do away with the cush pack and mount the pulley solid and I believe the issue would be solved.
