if you got rid of the ape hangers and put a bigger headlight on it would be fine

No, thats a bobber under there, be the 1200 motor. Article said it looked like all the extra's are bolted on, maybe why it looks a bit of a mish-mash. Rider does look like he's sat too far forward tho' !!!

That a water-cooled engine Dougie and as Mr O has just said it looks identical to a Bobber motor. If they do bring out an America with the 1200 motor - any version really - it could be quite the thing to have.

Too much work building that rear subframe and all the bolt on bits look to be triumph extra's. Say the were testing the bike and all the bits at the same time, they have to be to pass the german rules of all extra's being factory approved, IIRC ( @Winglad ?)

That's not new, that's same as the old one and same since 2010 ish and now out of production.

American site, they are always behind the times - they still measure in feet and inches !!!!:sob: (once cost nasa over $10million dollars by using wrong conversion for a part manufactured overseas and had to get it scrapped !!!:laughing::laughing::laughing:)

It's what Triumph are doing now, Scrambler is now a kit of parts rather than a seperate model, etc.

Not seen MCN, but if it is a bobber version, doubt very much there will be a seperate Speedmaster / America model realised as well, so this could be it. But can't be a bobber, cos is that not a cruiser stripped of all the useful bits !!!!

Whatever it is called, see it as the new "America/Speedmaster" and a replacement model to cover them, with various bolt on kits called America & Speedmaster !

First impression I don't like it, I need my bike to be very pillion friendly and that all looks very unfriendly and cramped. Not sure how good the suspension will be either as a 2up machine.

Love the look of the Indian Scout but as all the forums state great as a solo bike not great 2up and I think the bobber has the same issue even with the kitchen sink thrown at it.

Wait and see I suppose but for now apart from the 1200cc engine I don't see anything I prefer.

Agree with both of you, T120 would have been a better base, along the lines of what was done with the current America/Speed. The rider and pillion accomodation look really squished up, compared to the old model.

The difference between the Scout and the Bobber (sorry bobber owners, just my opinion), is the scout looks beautiful from all angles. If they had built it to be 2 up, I probably be riding a Scout now.

Will wait to see it in the flesh to reserve final opinion, but doesn't look good from that picture.

On that picture I'm not liking it.
If it is based upon the blobber they've added a second disc up front to address the (reported) weedy braking that could've been a problem two up.
I'm not a fan of the blobber and frankly that looks like a parts bin special.

It does look rather unfinished in my view. Needs a bit more work on the styling.
