    Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum, first post!
Recently bought a 2015 Sprint GT. It's my first "modern" bike, my other one being a 1996 BMW R100R. To say they are different animals would be an understatement!
I love the Sprint but my Wife less so. She sits higher on the Sprint than the BM and catches the wind big time. Is there any replacement windshields or bolt-on additions that will cure this?
    I'm 5' 11" & my Wife is 5' 7".
Any Sprint or other Triumph owners in Fife, I'm in Glenrothes?
    Any advice greatly appreciated.
    Cheers, Pete

    Welcome to the forum Pete.
I used to have an R80T 30 years back, full Rickman fairing, panniers the lot.
    Confirmed Bonneville owner now.
Sorry, can't help you with any advice on the fairing but I have no doubt someone will be along shortly.

    Hi Guys,
    Thanks for the replies.
Trudd, I have looked at these on eBay but was looking for a recommendation from someone who has bought a replacement screen and can vouch for them. These ones, especially the bigger one looks much the same size as my standard screen.
The type Dozers Dad mentions look like a good bet, but there is quite a few different types available, any specific recommendations?
Many thanks for all the replies and warm welcome, much appreciated.
    Cheers, Pete

There are another couple of options Pete.
    1) Change the wife for a shorter one, working down in 1" increments until no wingeing can be detected.
    2) Ride solo only, easier to explain to the wife after fitting a solo seat.

Or you can just go for the DozersDad recommended anti riot police shield fastened on with 2" angle iron brackets.

I've found that screens are a very personal thing so the only way to know if it works for you is to try it.

I have 3 different screens for the ST and stick with the double bubble as this works best for me. It allows me space under the screen for my sat nav and keeps most of the wind off. On long motorway days a bit more wind protection would be nice but it's a good compromise.

The larger zero gravity screen is massive and while it does a good job of keeping the wind off it does that a bit too well. I have a 2005 1050ST with the lower bars so it's nice to have a bit of wind pressure to take the weight off the wrists on the motorway type sections.

    Standard screen for comparison.

    Hi Dozers Dad,
I like the look of these bolts on "wings", the fact that they are adjustable gives me some options. Any particular make/model recommended?

The GT comes with the touring screen as standard. Some have found the shorter standard screen better.
That may work as your body will then block the wind better.
My missus never found wind blast a problem as she is fairly short.
As to the aero foil type MRA get good reviews off a few.

I've got the same as Jez's, an MRA VT screen. On my Tiger I was having lots of noise due to turbulence coming off the top of the std screen. The MRA screen pretty-much 100% cured that - however it did not really reduce much the wind pressure on me, but the air was smoother/quieter, so I don't think this will help with reducing the wind pressure for a pillion - if that's what you are trying to achieve?

Not sure if any variation of screen will improve pillion comfort on the Sprint tbh.

On my BM R1100RT it had an electrically adjustable screen and that did affect airflow to the rear passenger.

    Hi Guys,
Was looking at this on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232268626915
Anyone tried one of these, especially with the effect on the pillion?
I thought this windscreen along with one of these "wings" mounted on the top might do the job. But a lot of cash between the two for an experiment!

    Cheers, Pete

    Hi Guys,
Just ordered a double bubble screen from Skidmarx.
But there is a company on eBay called Dreamscreensuk who are from the same town (Waymouth) selling the same screen and using the same photo. When I asked Skidmarx if they were the same company, the bloke I spoke to denied all knowledge of them! Very odd!
Hope I've made the right decision!? It was £59.
Will let you know how it goes.
    Cheers,
    Pete
