I'm looking for a more upright riding position .........does anyone have experience of the Sprint ST 1050 , about a 2007 year ?( they appear to be good value on the second hand market)

Sprint ST is a great bike, still a bit semi-sports mind. I'm not tall and found it a bit crunched up. Better than a VFR though. I fitted 30mm risers on mine and it's so much better. I fitted a +50mm upper brake hose from HEL and it's happy days. :)

Yes do fit the risers so much better. And they usually fit without changing cables.

2007 models have already higher bars and taller windscreen that the 2005 model.
I have a 2005 with Motocnc 32mm risers, stock cables.
I'm short (1,72m) and without risers it would be less comfortable for me.
It's a great bike, I love it. And yes they can be found at bargain prices.
