    Hi folks.

I've had my 2006 Sprint ST for about 6 months or so. The other day I noticed that on the underside of the throttle grip that someone has cut a notch in it to allow space for a cable.

I'm assuming this isn't the actual throttle cable (right?). I can only follow the cable until it goes into the front faring/housing, at which point I've no idea where it goes. The next step would be to start taking things apart...

Anyone have any idea what it is? The only problem it's causing is that with the throttle pulled back a fair way, it starts to snag on edge of the notch that's been cut out. Would that be an MOT issue, if they noticed?

    Thanks in advance :)

It could be a cable for heated grips ?

I'd discounted heated grips because I hadn't noticed an on/off switch... (At least nothing as obvious as I'd had on previous bikes.)

But... yes, it's heated grips :) Your comment made me check again, and I found the smallest of home-made switches on the left hand side of the dash faring which I'd completely missed before. And yes, the left-hand grip also has a wire, which I hadn't thought to check.

Bonus that I now have heated grips. Just before summer... :)
