any body fitted a sprint rs speedo/rev counter to a 900? if so any problems?

you would need a way to activate the speedo as it needs and electronic drive from a magnetic pickup.

would that be the lead that runs down to the speedo drive on the wheel much like the koso one ??

Yes. Altough how the ones for a koso clockset works I have no idea.
The triumph unit has a magnet within the speedo drive.
